Monel grade is a high-performance, high-strength alloy with a copper and nickel composition. It also contains small amounts of iron, carbon, silicon, and manganese. The grade exhibits excellent resistance to harsh chemicals such as acids and alkalis. It also has good thermal stability and good ductility. Max Steels uses high-class model grades to produce Monel 400 forged fittings. Hardening processes like cold working also harden these.
The alloy fittings are suitable for absolute zero temperature applications. It is the unique grade for forged fittings applications. These are fabricated in different shapes, such as a reducer, tee, cross bends, stub, and elbow. The manufacturers offer forged fittings with different specifications, dimensions, standards, and diameters. Moreover, these come with tolerance and machining allowance for different types of fittings. It contains some percentage of resistive elements that are naturally executed. Monel forged fittings are tempered and quenched conditions. Furthermore, these are magnetic and non-magnetic ones that can be chosen according to the totality.
Fabricated fittings are finished with an industrial finishing process for ground up the spots and uncertain surfaces. The satin coat and bright black polish prevent rusting damages while in the oxidation environment. Different testing is performed for top-notch production. The tests are- the mechanical test, PMI test, chemical test, intergranular corrosion test, tensile test, destructive-nondestructive test, and visual inspection test. Additionally, third-party inspections are performed to ensure production.
